Although one of the biggest countries in Asia, Burma is a well preserved jewel, unspoiled by mass tourism.

Yangon, the former capital of Myanmar is the most important commercial center and the main gateway to Myanmar. Yangon has the largest number of colonial buildings in Southeast Asia today. The Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon is one of the most famous and interesting places to visit in Myanmar.

This beautiful Inle Lake is located in Shan State, eastern part of Myanmar. It is the second largest lake in Myanmar with an estimated surface area of 116 km2. The traditional transportation on the lake is mainly by small boats; local fishermen are known for practicing a distinctive rowing style which involves standing at the stern on one leg and wrapping the other leg around the oar. Floating gardens are laid out on the lakes surface growing vegetables and fruits, serving as a source for food and trade for local families. Silk-weaving is another important industry; a unique fabric to find only at Inle Lake is the lotus plant fibers used for weaving special robes for monks. The bustling and colorful 5-Days-Market is held daily but the location rotates through five different sites around the lake area, thus each of them hosting a market every fifth day. The Phaungdawoo Pagoda from Inle Lake is one of the famous principal shrines in Myanmar.

Bagan was the glorious capital of the First Myanmar Empire and is covered with over 2000 ancient pagodas, stupas, shrines, monasteries and historical monuments of the Golden age. The dry plains of Bagan which are bordered by the Ayeyarwaddy River are renowned for their spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Looking out from the Hot Air Balloon basket over the temple dotted plain is enchantingly spellbinding.

Mandalay is the last royal capital of Myanmar Empire before British annexation many beautiful ancient buildings and modern buildings with Chinese taste. The elegant palace wall and moat is situated on the shade of Mandalay Hill. Mandalay is known as the center of Myanmar arts & crafts, with silk and cotton hand weaving workshops, gold leaves making places, wood and marble carving and bronze casting palaces.

Nagapali Beach is the most beautiful beach in Myanmar and one of the most pristine beaches in Asia. The white sanded beach stretches over 3 kilometers on the Bay of Bengal, an ideal place for anyone who loves the sea, sand and sun, swimming and snorkeling!
